Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding on 30th December, 1986, in Hereford, England) is an English singer-songwriter. She gained the attention of the world in 2010 through her hits "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses," British vocalist Ellie Goulding quickly rose to the top of the charts due to her enthralling electronic pop style. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her distinctive soprano voice and knack for writing catchy yet emotionally earnest music, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap, stands at the forefront of contemporary mainstream music and arty, independent-minded pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogs to print media, garnering the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Firefly was Whedon's upcoming success and it's safe to say that she had an impact. The Summer Glau River Tam character was complex and Glau dealt with it well. In the role of Tam her character, she was enticed into government-sponsored experiments in which she was being trained to be the ultimate assassin. Tam lost her ability to control her emotions as a result. Glau got the chance to show off not only her acting talents, but her fighting skills on Firefly. It was also evident that learning to be an assassin enabled Glau to fully use her athletic abilities. Summer Glau, a trained classical ballerina.
