Christina Ricci born February 12 1980 height 5' is a famous American actor from the United States. Ricci received initial recognition and appreciation as a child actor in her portrayal of Wednesday Addams on The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993) and also for her character in the film Kat Harvey in Casper (1995). Ricci shifted into roles more suited to adults with The Ice Storm (1997) and then a prestigious performance on The Opposite of Sex 1998 that resulted in her being an award as a Golden Globe nominee for Best Actress. Ricci continued to be successful by delivering well-received roles on Sleepy Hollow (1999) and Monster (2003). Firefly was Whedon's upcoming success and it's safe to say that she had an impact. The Summer Glau River Tam character was complex and Glau dealt with it well. In the role of Tam her character, she was enticed into government-sponsored experiments in which she was being trained to be the ultimate assassin. Tam lost her ability to control her emotions as a result. Glau got the chance to show off not only her acting talents, but her fighting skills on Firefly. It was also evident that learning to be an assassin enabled Glau to fully use her athletic abilities. Summer Glau, a trained classical ballerina.
