Yael Stone is an Australian actress who is most well-known for her parts such as Lorna Morello in Orange Is the New Black Peretta Jones in Childhood's End and Dora Lumley in the film Picnic at Hanging Rock. She's also appeared in other television and film series, including Spirited High Maintenance Deep Water Penn Zero Part-Time Hero The Wilde Wedding, and others. Firefly was Whedon's upcoming success and it's safe to say that she had an impact. The Summer Glau River Tam character was complex and Glau dealt with it well.
